Dr. Tchatat Gabriel was trained at the University of Abobo – Adjame (Abidjan) Unit of Training and Research (Faculty) on Environment Science and Environment Management, where he was graduated with a PhD, a “DEA” (Post M.Sc.) and a M.Sc. in Environment Science and Environment Management. He was also trained at the University of Yaounde II, Faculty of Management and Economic Science where he was graduated with a PhD. in Economic Science, specialized in Environmental Economics.
After thirty one years as a Civil Servant at the Ministry of Environment and Protection of Nature where he was Sub Director in charge of Environment Planning, the Ministry of External Relations as a Diplomat (Embassy Counselor), he is actually and International Consultant with the Afrian Development Bank Group ClimDev – Africa, CDSF / OSAN.
He was full time Senior Lecturer at the University of Buea, and is a part time Lecturer at the Universities of Yaounde II, Higher Institute of Environment Science (Yaounde), Higher School of Engineer of Bangangte, and the University of Douala, Faculty of Industrial Engineering.

Brief Description of Positions
As international Consultant at ClimDev – Africa, we are in charge of evaluating and appraising project related to the densification of meteorological network in African countries and 5 African regions, evaluation, desk and field appraisal of project Concept Notes (234 CN) on Climate change mitigation and adaptation from African countries.
As Permanent Consultant of Trapca, we develop training programs for East African workers and civil servant on Agriculture – Climate – trade linkages.

Evaluations of carbon potential of some Forest Management Units (UFA) are on the way for certification for the carbon market. Three UFAs of more than two hundred thousand hectares of rain forest are being assessed.
Negotiation with the Nedbank for funding sylvicultural activities in arid area of Cameroon particularly the following regions: Far-North, North, Adamaoua, North-West, West, Centre, and East. Estimated ten thousand hectares of trees have been planted, and about a million hectares of forest will be certified for the international carbon market.
